Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating

Do you struggle with your relationship with food? Do you want to make changes to your eating habits but find it difficult to know where to start? The good news is you  are in the right place for advice, guidance and support to break free from disordered eating.

I help and support clients with eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours such as binge eating, dietary restriction and chronic dieting.  I have experience working with clients that have eating disorders including binge eating disorder, anorexia and bulimia.

I help clients optimise their nutritional intake and transform their relationship with food. We identify and work on thoughts, feelings and behaviours around food and how these are connected. I provide advice and support with changing habits and behaviours. We collaborate on goal setting and problem solving.

I understand how distressing having eating difficulties can be as I suffered with disordered eating growing up. There can be feelings of guilt and shame associated with food choices and eating behaviours. My approach is non-judgemental and compassionate.  I provide a safe space and work in collaboration with you to set realistic and achievable goals.

Testimonials

Claudia

Gillian has helped me so much in my recovery to progress to where I am today from where I first started, which I never thought would be possible. She immediately made me feel at ease when our sessions first began and I’ve always felt heard and understood with never any form of judgement. There were a lot of things that I didn’t understand about myself and my eating disorder that I can now look back on and see for what it was. I’ve had an eating disorder since I was a teenager and Gillian helped me understand where it began and showed me that all the ways I’ve been thinking are actually not who I am but is in fact the eating disorder talking. I still have a way to go with recovery but am finally in a place where I feel hopeful for the future because of Gillian’s help. I am so grateful and would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs help!
